There will be fireworks and the chance to see Bishop Mary throw out the first pitch! Group transportation options are being explored. You are invited to the first kick-off "Feast in the Field" dinner event in their new home on September 19. The Abundant Table is moving to the McGrath Family Farms in Camarillo (101-Central Ave exit). All locally sourced seafood, vegetables, beer & wine will be served at this fundraiser. Check out the literature racks in the narthex (church lobby) or Kahler hall for new August-October Day by Day meditation booklets. Forward Day by Day is a booklet of daily inspirational meditations reflecting on a specific Bible passage, chosen from the daily lectionary readings as listed in the Revised Common Lectionary or the Daily Office from the Episcopal Church's Book of Common Prayer. One of our fellow parishioners says she grabs her Day by Day before her feet hit the ground in the morning. ($1 donations are appreciated.)
"HORIZONS & HERITAGE" FESTIVAL ~ DISNEY HALL CONCERT RECORDING NOW AVAILABLE FOR ADVANCE PURCHASE
Digitally mastered CD and DVD recordings of the June 12 Disney Hall “Horizons & Heritage” Festival Concert marking the Episcopal Church’s 150th year of parish ministry in Southern California may be ordered starting this week -- with proceeds set to benefit scholarships for deserving urban youth. Advance orders for CDs, priced at $12 each, and DVDs at $24 each, may be placed by email to email@example.com, Recordings are scheduled for shipment starting Sept. 1. Details for payment online or by check will be forwarded by return email upon each order. Proceeds will benefit the new “Neighborhood Good” initiative designed to widen the scholarship and college-readiness mentoring provided to deserving urban students by the Neighborhood Youth Association, a diocesan institution dating from 1906.

Set up your sewing machines, knitting needles, glue guns, paint brushes, recipe boxes… St. Paul’s is holding a Festive Flamingo Craft Bazaar and Bake Sale fundraiser the weekend of November 21st. Whether you have one or two items or a full display, we will have space for you. Details about bazaar sign-ups will be available in August. A committee is forming to organize the event. ONLINE CHURCH DIRECTORY
The online church directory, REALM, is now available to all St. Paul's parishioners. Every member has an individual profile page and can maintain your own personal and contact information. Keep connected to ministry involvement through Group and meeting information postings. One feature of benefit to Ministry leaders is the ability easily send group emails. This is a closed system; only St. Paul's members have access. You need to be invited to join. Look for an e-mail invitation in your inbox. Contact the office if you need one sent to you. Online training will be provided over the next few weeks.

Deep Streams Zendo, a new Zen community in Ventura, holds a Sunday afternoon practice from 2:30-4:30 at the Gooden Center. A $20 donation is suggested however noone is turned away due to finances. The practice is suitable for beginners, existing practitioners and old hands alike. Arrive by 2:15 pm. www.deepstreams.org and comminhomeproject.net.
The summer church office hours will be in affect beginning June 22nd through Labor Day, Monday, September 7th.
