Rector Search

St. Paul's is entering an exciting season of transition as we prepare to call a new rector following the retirement of The Reverend Susan Bek. This is a time for our community to reflect on who we are, where we feel called to go, and what gifts we hope our next rector will bring. We invite your prayers, your presence, and your participation as we discern together. We are God’s

hands & feet.

We aspire to tell and exemplify God’s love for every human being.

Since 1889, St. Paul's has been a cornerstone of our Ventura community. We're renowned for our friendly people, joyful worship, musical excellence, and radical hospitality. Our multigenerational congregation offers a welcoming space where you'll be embraced for who you are.

We are a vibrant Episcopal community located in midtown Ventura. We are one of nearly 150 congregations in the Episcopal Diocese of Los Angeles, one of the largest dioceses in the Episcopal Church (TEC), the United States province of the Anglican Communion.

Our mission is simple, and one we strive to live out daily in our lives:

“We follow Jesus, nurture ministries, and welcome all.”

Clergy

Staff

A church staff plays a vital role in the success and vitality of a congregation. They are the backbone of the organization, responsible for managing daily operations, developing and delivering programs, supporting ministries and volunteers, and fostering a welcoming community. From coordinating Sunday School and events to leading choir and maintaining the facility, our church staff members work tirelessly to ensure that the needs of the congregation are met. Their dedication and commitment are essential for creating a thriving and supportive spiritual home for all.

Vestry

Serving the church parish with love and dedication, our vestry members volunteer their time and talents to help govern the church. The voice of parishioners, they represent and look over everything from new ministry implementation to finances. They meet monthly on the last Wednesday of each month; meetings are open to the public.
